Feeler....2001 406 110

Post by Mastiff »

I may have to sell my ultra reliable Pug......But before I do what is she worth?

2001 406 HDI Estate 110bhp LX in silver (D9)
12 months MOT
Tax till end of April 2011
2 previous owners
119,441 miles
Fully stamped Peugeot history (Not one service has been missed)
Cambelt changed at 92,675 miles, this was carried out by a Peugeot main dealer with reciept and stamp.
Almost every reciept with the original books from new.
Aux belt, 2 front tyres, brake dics and pads all changed in September 2010.
680 Amp battery fitted in Feb this year with 4 year guarantee
Her spec is fantastic.....
4 Electric windows
Electric heated mirrors
Airbags
Central locking off the key fob
Power steering
Height adjustable seats
Height adjustable steering wheel
Armrests in the front!
Remote wipers
Freezing cold Aircon that was re-gassed 8 months ago
Digital climate control
On board computer that tells you how many miles you have left till fill up, average speed, average MPG etc.....Also informs you which one of the doors, boot or bonnet is not closed properly and all info about engine if anything needs topping up.

The previous owner was a chap in his late 50's, his job.....Traffic Cop! So this car was never in need of anything.
Inside and outside the car....Fantastic! He used to get the guys at Thames Valley Police to clean it every week whilst they were doing the patrol cars, I suppose there has to be a perk with every job!

Drives like new. Pulls very well in every gear and as being the 110 model she has some poke. Mid range torque is fantastic.

I can put some pics up if need be but really just want an idea of what she is worth being in excellent condition with low owners and extensive history.

Many thanks,

Paul.

I agree 1000-1300 quid seems about right, maybe even a tadge more with the lowish miles for a HDI

The mid range torque on the 110's is brill, I used to love driving my father in laws 110, it pulled like a train even with a slipping clutch

Very interesting Gary as I had £1,200 in mind

I am thinking about getting a 406 V6 Coupe....But!! There is nothing wrong with my car at all...everything works and she is ultra reliable, I can honestly say she wants for nothing and I just spent a small fortune on a service just under 1,500 miles ago using Quartz 9000 fully synthetic oil, OE oil filter, OE Air filter and Diesel filter as well as diesel filter housing! Cleaned weekly using Autoglym products........Could I be making a big mistake going for a V6 Coupe?

Also forgot to say in the ad'....... She has a Pioneer CD player which is running all upgraded speakers so replaced the original ones so no big holes or speakers to be seen!

I average 44.7mpg around town and 50+ on a run. Very economical.

I am in Milton Keynes.

i would have to say you must be mad to sell a 110 HDi to buy a 3.0 V6 gas guzzler

diesel is the way forward. my advice would be NOT to get a V6. and defo 100% keep the diesel.

i bet a V6 coupe would average less than 20mpg

you gotta really ask yourself do i really want a V6 fuel bills ? because £10 for 20 maybe 30 miles would really be bad

Gary.....You have made my mind up for me.....She stays :)

Also the old boy who did the MOT has been doing MOT's for over 25 years and works across the road from where I am working. I popped in after work and he said he would give me £1,250 cash on Friday for my car......This must say something about my car for an MOT tester to say that :D

Think I will get her remapped. A remap takes a 110bhp to 140bhp, That must be a noticeable difference in performance!!
