They do have normal crashes, plenty of them (hence high insurance costs I guess). There's just so many wrecked cars up for sale though, 2nd-hand spares almost don't exist and they usually come from private individuals who want silly money - i.e. just less than new parts - so I suppose people figure it's cheaper to get rid of them as is.
