Holy thread resurection Batman!
Umm, Curry (can't get it here)
Bacon, lettuce & tomato sandwiches (can't get that sort of bacon here)
PBJ sandwiches(peanut butter is in the gourmet section of some large supermarkets at 6 times the price)
Strong cheddar (doesn't exist)
Cheese and pickle sandwiches (no pickle here)
Toast and marmite (guess)
Pickled onions (do I have to spell it out?)
Beans on toast (you getting it yet?)
Cream of tomato soup (hahahaha, no tinned soups here whatsoever!)
Tea comes in boxes of 10 bags for about £2.
The best instant coffee you can get is Nescafe Glod.
But then again:
Sausages with MEAT in them!
Češnjovka - boiled garlic sausage with garlic and garlic.
Blood sausage
Sarma (rice and mince with herbs, wrapped in a pickled cabbage leaf and boiled in a thick sauce for 3 days, generally eaten in winter)
Stuffed peppers (similar to above but in the autumn)
Smoked, cured ham.
Slicing sausages.
Venison Goulash
Paprikaš (stew to you)
Ajvar (think hot tomato sauce)
Tomatoes that are red all the way through and have a flavour.
Turkish coffee!!
Šljivovica - plum brandy (I can't/won't drink it but it's also good for cleaning car parts and sterilising injuries)

Remote? Croatia mate, Croatia, birth place of Nikola Tesla, Marko Polo, Goran Ivanišević, Janica Kostelić, Goran Višnjić, Andrija Mohorovičić, neckties, torpedos, parachutes, solid ink pens, blimps, Dural aluminum, forensic medicine, double-entry book keeping, etc. etc. Bordered by Italy, Slovenia, Bosnia, Hungary, Montenegro and some country we don't talk about. Much. Amazing scenery, the sea is clear blue here and you can see fish swimming about in it (as opposed to greeny/brown with dead fish & used toilet paper floating about in it).

Re: What's your favourite food?
I always thought those kebabs they heat up and slice bits off (and heat up and slice bits off and heat up...) must be extremely unhygenic, plus they smell like sweaty armpits. Then I did a job inside a place where they make them in Tottenham Hale (where's the throwing up in a bucket emoticon when you need it?)

Re: What's your favourite food?
well the steak kebab is proper meat, non of that processed stuff.
Though i do like kebab meat and chips with loads of mayonnaise, not to fussed about how its made, as long as it tastes good

Re: What's your favourite food?
Hah... I had that in Poland for the New Year's do (my gf is Polish). Very very harsh (70% or something stupid), but on the plus side, vodka after a few shots of this tastes like water... reallysteve_earwig wrote:Šljivovica - plum brandy (I can't/won't drink it but it's also good for cleaning car parts and sterilising injuries)
