One becomes two, two become three

Post by dirtydirtydiesel »

So I've only gone and bloody done it :supafrisk:
I've bought a coupe :cheesy:
She's a D8.5, 3.0 V6 se, manual in Diablo red & very happy with her I am too 8)
I will post pics when I take them in a size the forum will accept
If anyone is interested, she came from Dave Small off the coupe forum,
A really nice and honest guy who didn't want to part with her :(

Oh & the reason for the title,
Well four years ago in april I purchased the 406 2.0 hdi estate, which is still doing us proud.
Then two years ago in September we bought my wifes 206 sport (which she loves)
& finally Two weeks ago this Saturday, we bought EL Diablo, my beloved coupe.

Or the mistress ( as the wife calls her ) :supafrisk:

Pictures to follow, DDD
2002 110 HDi estate, Rapier in monaco blue! ( found quite a bit more power :cheesy: ) SOLD I've sorted the airbag light :cheesy:
1998 3.0 V6 SE coupe in Diablo Red ( my baby ) sold
2006 206 1.4 16v sport in Aegean blue ( wife's shopping trolley  )

2006 BMW e61 535d m-sport :supafrisk: run's for cover

There are some very cheap 2.0 Hdi estates about on ebay, I'm sorely tempted but I already have two running and one for spares. There is another moonstone blue one, the colour of the two I am running, high mileage but looks good. They are rapidly disappearing now, I don't want to run out of them like I did the XMs.

Enjoy
Fair point Doggy ,
I actually wanted a Aegean blue one with tan interior, until I clapped eyes on El Diablo in the sun 8)
If I'm honest I always liked waue 1978's car.
Mid life crisis :? , I very nearly bought a brand new one in Scarlet red back in 2002
But she who must be obeyed said four doors :frown:
The reason for buying one now, well I could be wrong I have many times before BUT
I don't think they'll get any cheaper with good ones left
Have you seen the price of Ford crapys lately

But the main reason for buying one is I can enjoy it with ALL the family,
I can't do that on my crutch rocket  , so she's going up for sale in the spring.

Laters DDD.

Well happy with her Kelv,
Very much a rolling project, but a good one all the same.

Lazy V6, not when she gets past 4000rpm :cheesy:

I look forward to introducing her to you all at future Peugeot meetings 8)

I meant it pulls from quite low in the revs and carries on pulling up to 6K revs - you don't need to keep changing gears.. :cheesy:

That's because they are expensive to insure.
I wanted to hand mine down (some day son all this will be yours etc.) but he went and got a Mk2 MR2 which is almost half the insurance, work that one out.

I wouldn't mind a 2.2 Hdi Coupe, not sure I could live without an estate though.

There's nowt as strange as insurance & that's for sure :?
But saying that there cheep because of this is just plain wrong
I pay £160 fully comp with an agreed value of £2000 on the estate & £195 fully comp on the coupe with an agreed value.
Oh & if you read my post properly you'll see that I still have the estate, the coupe is a toy :cheesy:

I tried the comparison sites as usual and the prices were rubbish so I got insured with Direct line. My wifes car a 2.0. Hdi GLX estate was about £170 with me as a named driver but mine a basic one was £190 which seems strange, I will have to phone the and ask why it gone up about £20 since last year.

You'll only get the normal rhetoric about uninsured drivers, whiplash claims & insurance tax, none of which explains the inconsistancies in premiums.

Peugeot RCZ is the new 406 coupe,,,,,Comment :cheesy:
