Ok, in a nutshell:

D8 = Mark 1 406, available from 1995 to 1999
D9 = Mark 2 406, available from 1999 to 2003/4

The D9 sports a slightly restyled interior and exterior, most notably larger, clear lensed headlights and the inclusion of a strip of body colour coded plastic through the horizontal middle of the rear lights. Those are the most distinctive changes and make identification of a D9 easiest.

Right - so that makes mine a D9

and when peeps are talking about 110 i presume they are refering to the the BHP :P

It all becomes clear now - give me a PC/Laptop and or a load of bits and im happy - routers and networks and im in my element but cars - hhhmmmm

thats why i joined the forum - like No.5 once said "need input - more input" "No.5 is alive"

:P

Yep sorry guilty as charged :arrowu:

geek - but its my job not something i take home with me - had to put a wireless network in the house though so missus could use laptop on her knee and not sit in computer room and eldest could connect his games console to it aswell from his bedroom. what a pain in the A%S*.

You have a 2.2 HDi, if so watch the Cam Belt closely, change it early like maybe 20,000 miles early as I've heard they have a habit of breaking early, if that happens its a new engine.

ok will keep an ey on it and see what happens, usually change the cam belt early on all the cars ive ever owned as the belt slipped on my first car many years ago but that was a chain as apposed to belt and it slipped a cog, big load crunch sound as the pistons came up and the valves closed and then was the end of a relationship with an Audi 80 sports. :evil:
