Who missed me?

Post by MaDc0w »

Been gone a while but back again (didn't think you guys would get rid of me that quick or)

Since my 406 was so busted up I couldn't afford to fix it the last few months hehe..

BUT SHE LIVES!

And it only set me back about 3000€.. Rides almost as new again..

The car STILL dies sometimes at traffic lights and crossings and has to be restarted, and the rear trunk lock rattles (I think)....

Anyways.. How ya'll been doing? What I miss? :D

LOL

I can't even find turbo'd pugs here...

The car looks so terrible though. Hood is all fuxed up front bumper is still busted and the part that goes along the front left light took a hit.. The rear bumper could use a sanding and repaint too.

I replaced the spark plugs and did a fresh oil change last week too. When it dies at traffic lights drives me nuts..

Besides that it purrrrrs like a pug should :|

new from peugeot there about £70, but a local motor factors should stock them for about £30 i reckon, its easy to change, just 2 screws and then you need to synchronise the new one

Sounds easy enough. Except that sync thing... Hows that done?

I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy need a new servo pump!
Mine is empty before I hit 10km and the motor is all nasty now...
And it sucks to steer right...steering left just makes a godawful sprocket wheel crunching noise...

you mean the powersteering pump?
are you sure its not the oil cooler for the powersteering fluid, its far more common than the pump going, very rare to happen on a 406

have a look under the front bumper right below the grille, there will be 3 rows of black plastic pipes these are the cooler pipes, they very often get smashed and leak, is the oil pissing out of the pump?
