My first ever car (A Nova) lasted me a week (exactly 7 days) before someone drove into me, photos here:

Neil's bad luck

As you can see, I had a bit of bad luck in my early driving years. And it was all clear until the Astra hit the coupe last year.

For interest, the Blue Nova in the last photo was DaiRees's.

Yeah some uninsured tit (in a 309 IIRC) left the road, drove across the pavement (Narrowly missing a woman with a pram I'm told  ) into the carpark and smashed into Neil's parked AX, pushing it into my Nova  . We were in work at the time, didn't even work in the same shop, just pure coincidence that we'd parked next to each other that day :? . A friend saw the fuss and recognised the cars, then came to get us...

Neil's car was a write off from the doube impact of the tw@ hitting it on the front right corner, then the front left corner hitting my car.. But the entire force of the impact went through the back axle of my Nova, moving the back of the car about a foot sideways, but the only damage it sustained was a bent wheel (cost me a fiver from the scrapyard), and some white paint on my lovely blue car. Not even a dent in the bodywork!!! One used rim and a couple of mins with the t-cut and she was restored to her former glory!

Shame Neil's AXGT wasn't so lucky!

(I was in it with him the day he hit the Rover as per the photo above too, in fact some might say I was "encouraging" him that time! :| )

By the way I've had this one 4 and a half years since nearly new, previous 406 about 2 years, Mondeo before that about 3 years, Nova before that about 4 years, and before that a Fiesta, a Fiat Uno and a Talbot Solara, none of which were mine for very long. I've even had the zook for nearly 2 years! And the wife's had her 206 for over 5 years, although we are looking for a replacement now.
