Flaplets?

*snigger

...on the wife's Fiesta (and indeed all new Fiestas).

I can only assume it's something aerodynamic. Anyone know what they're for?

It's to provide somewhere else for dirt to accumulate and rust to start forming. Well, it is a Ford... :supafrisk:

I saw some of these myself actually being part of the bumper pressing, I'd love to know their function.

Are Frod clever enough to make a plastic bumper rust now? Impressive :cheesy:

I've been up all* night* trawling* the internet tirelessly* for you Dai and all I've found so far is this:

They may* be to reduce turbulence from the rotating wheel/wheelarch combo thus allowing a smooth passage of exiting air.

They might* be another one of our favourite Euro Regulations (or Merrycan) whereby the wheel itself must be recessed a certain distance from the outermost 'arch' and these little things 'extend' that distance and therefore comply* with said ruling.

place yer bets......
