This bit's weird: "I moved the seat and now the Air Bag light is on"

Shirley if they've owned it that long and a quick googlage to this here establishment would have that sorted pronto - why mention in it the add?

Oh wait a minute! it comes with a "touch up pen"?? ohhhh wow I'm in

My original 406 did this every time t'wife moved the seat to her favoured all-the-way-back/bolt upright/sky high position, accompanied by the classic 'B' type display error message, "AIRBAG WARNING".
(I may have observed it had detected she was aboard).
After a year or two I replaced the side airbag detonator connector, restoring order to Dogmobile 1

I note a recent recruit from the Netherlands has successfully converted a V6 slushmatic into a proper car: https://www.406oc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=25502

Shame this one's not an estate. :(

That long? His other stuff makes him look like a scrappy. The fact that he "thinks" it's "possibly" the wiring to the passenger seat probably means either he cant be bothered or he knows it isn't. Also, the speedo dropping is probably the transponder ($$$).

Here comes another low miler HDi 90 Rapist
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284218534621?ul_noapp=true

2001 baboon, diy gearbox, 48,249 miles, no advicerys (kudos for finding another new way of spelling that), 1650 of your post Brexit toilet papers :P

Hmm, I can't work out how to link a picture s you'll have to use your imagination - it's a metallic grey saloon unfortunately taken with a mobile phone so you can only see half of it. Not too bad a colour imho.

2004 406 estate 2.0HDi 90 38,764 miles 3,250 squidderoonies

Looks good to me, straight car, nice wheels, nice cloth interior (ooh, no fake wood  ), white dials. But it's a 90. And it's 3 1/4 grand.

Oooh, I figured it out, (if I forget next time the image link was on page info). I'll take a small pic over no pic any day.

Stupidly long url.

Bit of a pattern all low mileage, low power, poverty spec.

Like their owners, I don't really want to drive any of them either

I get the feeling these are pensioner/2nd cars but I've no idea why anyone would want to inflict 90bhp on themselves.

Povvo spec? I'm not sure about the white dials and nofakewood trim but this would have been nearing the end of the run so maybe part's bin emptying time. Much could be done about the spec but not so much about the hp (will be Semen's) and that price tag, wow

In fairness, Pug did a great job of eeking the best possible drive out of the limited power available. My bro's D8 1.9 was surprisingly flexible and didn't feel as under-powered as I imagined. The later, electronic control Bosch injection pump was a huge improvement over the purely mechanical version in the 405, boosting low & mid range torque and making power delivery far more progressive.

I remember gingermagic saying his HDi 90 estate was surprisingly lively too. Reckon they got the gearing spot on with both of these examples.

I always thought the performance from the 90 was glacial, from what I've heard even the 1.9 TDI was livelier. I didn't think too much of the 110 tbh - wait for it, wait for it, oh it's gone.

I guess I should have rephrased that, the yoyo became a pensioner mobile at the end of last year :supafrisk: It still runs t'wife to and from work of course, unless she walks it (when it ain't raining  )

That's a bit steep if you ask me, maybe 4k too steep.

I dont see the appeal in such low mileage cars, I can imagine the first time it gets driven with gusto ( as much as you can in a 2.0 slush ) you'll blow the exhaust, crumble every rubber* bush and probably snap the cambelt - it's not like the roads around Ringworm are smooth or anything....

I'll avoid this one, although I have seen it around and often* wondered where it was based

No, maybe 3 or 4 times over as many years but in the world of Coupe ownership that is almost stalker territory.... :supafrisk:
