Glad it's passed, the painting of the springs sounds a damn good idea.... I was so sure I was going to get an advisory for rust and corrosion on the springs... thankfully... it wasn't picked up or wasn't bad enough....... :D

Congratulations! :cheesy:

They fiddle with the headlamps for free here too, although that was the D8 where all the brackets were broken and the headlamps were held in with epoxy :oops: Every damn year, twiddle them up one year, then twiddle them down again the next :roll:

I saw something on MSE about MOTs the other week, hold on http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-mot dunno if it's any use to anyone.

Iused to use the council depot for the m.o.ts.
theyre pretty good, only problem is theyre normaly always fully booked so its hard to get aslot,
leaving the car with them overnight sometimes gets you a slot though,

uphere most of the mot places are scratching about for work,so they fail for the least little thing,

as for the springs they wernt weak just the coating was peeling off, {some black silicone thinned out with turps-painted on first then a last coat of hammerite does the trick,}
