Window wipers
Having an issue with my winscreen wipers, no matter what setting I put them on, even off, they run for 30secs then stop, I turned off all other power ie stereo, heated windsceen etc and they worked fine again, anyone know what the problem could be???? If not I will see you all at the haynes motor museum, if its raining I will be the one driving with my head out the window so I can see where I'm going.

Re: Window wipers
I would suggest a BSI reset first, then see what happens from there.

Please stick to the info, if you disconnect the battery too soon after the ignition has been on you could affect the immobiliser / key and car may not start.

Re: Window wipers
Does it only do this when there's other stuff running
As youve mentioned above heated screen etc.
If so I'd have the multi-meter out and be checking what voltage the alternator is giving out..
These cars with Bsi's are twitchy so if there's a drop/drain in volts it can shut things down
To keep the main things going.
As above mentioned, the bsi reset is worth a try.
