with them engine codes can you tell if there is a different crank?

I wouldnt want to change the engine to get a diffent crank, with the current engine i know it has a full service history and runs like a swiss watch, this 90 engine has no service history, its making the crankshaft pulley noise and i dont like the look around the expansion tank i mind reading a 406 buyers guide one time which had a picture like this and it was warning of overheating damage, although someone might have forgot to tighten on the cap
Besides wouldnt a heavier crank not be stronger and more durable?

But dont worry i plan to properly remove the engine and gearbox, should be good for something (if only the suzuki was still about)

Did you have the same air bag fault as me? I know for sure there is another member (who contacted me via PM) to ask my advice on the airbag fault, maybe we should have a link all to yourself (or keep creating threads in the KB) so people can see your work... ?

What's your username, I've forgotten - I want to see these new videos :D

Could of done with that air bag video before I did mine - But I have questions............

With my air bag fault my MFD did NOT say any error code.
I notice with the PP2000 hooked up it now says intermittent and not permanent. Why is that?
Does PP2000 **ALWAYS** read old codes as intermittent, when you've cleared it - if they come back as intermittent, why and how to perminantely rid it?

No mate, all those codes say is if it's a 2.0HDi it has the same crank, be it a 90, 110, 8 valve or 16.

Thats what i thought, the 90 and 110 are the same engine although the turbo plumbing is a bit different, at least thats what i can see with the two parked side by side

This car also has a metal thermostat housing wheras mine has a plastic housing, did the peugeot accountants try and save a bit of money?

Sonia, my username on youtube is PeugeotCitroen2CV, on this old car the MFD did not mention any airbag fault, only the light in the instrument cluster stayed lit. It was just the wires under the seat which caused the problem.
Something like the wires under the seat might come up as an intermittent fault because moving the seat back and fourth might re establish the connection, wheras when i disconnected the passenger side switch it come up as a permanent fault, once they were fixed they remained as intermittent faults until they were cleared, so intermittent can be either intermittent or old fixed faults.
If the fault comes back as intermittent even after clearing it, then it might not be fixed 100%

The one on the 110 has a vacuum supply from a control solenoid next to the EGR one, but the 90 does not.(What does it do?)

I believe boost control on a 90 is acheived with a mechanical pressure relief valve, on a 110 it's controlled by the ecu, via an electrovalve and vacuum actuator.

Can the 90's be remapped with the galletto 1260?

What do you think of the reading light in the rear pillar:

Just an experiment using the old overhead lights, thats it without a surround, here is it with a surround:

From your engine pic at the start of the thread: this is a Bosch system, and therefore should indeed have an EDC15.

It would be interesting to compare a 110 map with a 90 map. Much easier said than done though!

Has anyone on here done a DIY remap on a 90, or have the remap file?

In an unrelated note, this car has a 2 button display, but the wiper stalk button doesnt seem to press in at all, did some D9's come without a trip computer and if so is it just a wiper stalk and pp2000 settings that stops them from having one?
