I got 32 at about 6 when I left work, and the sun had gone in.

Very glad to have lovely cold air con -- and it's a good job midsmike spotted and fixed my bust radiator fan.

Mine read 31 around 6:30, (when the interior had cooled enough for the MFD to become usable again).

Are you drinking your own urine yet Joel? :P

I've not really been paying attention (my bro's coming next month and t' wife decided "we" needed to redecorate  ) because I've been indoors most of the time, but I know it's been hovering around 30 for a few weeks now here, which is mercifully cool compared to what it should be. It's even cooler at night, so the plan is to shut up the house in the daytime (it helps to have shutters on the windows), only opening doors in the shade, and completely open everything up in the evening to let what heat's built up escape. Just now I'm sitting in my (paint covered) shorts, there are no fans going and we've not even thought about running the air con this year (yet...) The thermometer on the wall above me says 26 degrees.

I always found the temperature gauge on the Pugs to be fairly accurate, unless they've been parked in the direct sunlight (the black D9's sometimes says something mad like 60 degrees  ). Dunno about the yoyo's though, I've never bothered to find out where the sensor is, most of the time it's ok but it often says something preposterous when started up after sitting a while, even at night

The E39 BMW's is remarkably accurate, being clipped under the engine undertray at the front corner. Mine's especially accurate as it's dangling down an inch by its wires and won't stay clipped in...

I put an external temperature gauge on that stupid Ni$$an pick up thing because it didn't have much in the way of anything really. Unfortunately the sensor was hard wired and the furthest I could get the wire was between the headlamp and the radiator, so it was fine until the engine warmed up and then it became an extra engine temperature sensor  I'm just wondering if your Bimmer's is meant to be on the undertray right near the engine, would it do the same :?
