it was just the blanket statement that "You wont acheive 50mpg out of any big car" that i was disagreeing with m8,

Im a bit of a pedant on opinion being put over as fact, hope you dont take it personally, it certainly wasn't intended that way

edit, all my figures were "brim to brim" sums so i know they are accurate, i had a 406 long enough to know never trust the fuel gauge

your welcome to your opinion that im im wrong but , not all cars or peoples driving style are going to square up,

and then theres the fact that the Fuel gauge on these 406s aint acurate to start with,
the Fuel reserve on these things are Massive,
to get an accurate Reading id have to let the tank empty and brim it to work out what it actualy does .

I bet they went there just so they could piss off the teachers, piss on their classmates, and catch Chlamydia behind the bike sheds.

why do they type in such long winded titles, didnt they see everyone else was writing down what cars were for sale?

so instead of peugeot 406:

great big car, boots full of crap at the moment and would a few wee dents on the passenger side thats all plus lacquering peel.

They think a title is a description. Sometimes they dont even put the car details in the details section, so you have to guess without a pic!

Remember the one that someone put their name in the title, so the ad just said something like

"steve"

The title was "great wee car going very well theres a we tiny bit of rust at the bootom of the car thats the all. "

I clicked on it in curiosity, in case it was my old 406 :supafrisk:
Cars sold in NI tend to do 2 or 3 rounds through gumtree until someone sticks with it for a while.

ZXs are great cars, very underrated.

Both mine were diesels.

A non-turbo hatchback which I had for about 4 years, very economical and reliable, but very slow.

And a turbo estate which I was given, drove it as a 2nd car for about 6 months, was quite spritely.

I think they're a bit lighter than the 306, the bodywork seems especially prone to dents. Could by why it is quicker.

Surprisingly comfortable and good handling, passive rear steering.

All Peugeot & Citroen cars seem to be prone to dents. Mine looks like it's pebbledashed.

What is the "passive rear steering"? Remember years ago a friend bought a 306DTurbo when it had just gone on sale & he said that had rear steering, but I thought he was just talking sh*te at the time because the only cars I'd ever seen with it were the old Honda Preludes.
