I dont know what makes them feel compelled to spell wrong.
Perhaps they do it on purpose, but what message does that send out?

2006 Mazda 6 for £800 because the wife left him

Don't mind the Mazda 6, seems to be fairly reliable. Not exactly a 406 executive but not a base model Vectra either.

He says he needs the money to party.

A bargain anyway, if I had the money lying about Id be up looking at it, buy it, and even sell it on for profit.
Too drunk at this stage to drive though.

Rover looks well, thats the BMW engine, as much as I hate BMWs always liked their diesel engines in Omegas and 75s. No K series HG to worry about!

Looking £450 for a 1996 306 2.0 petrol with "cosmetic" damage.

What does he mean by cosmetic damage? A scrape? A tiny dent?

"The car requires a front windscreen, bonnet and bumper repair."

As unreliable as the k series engine is i wouldnt mind a v6 rover 75 because they do sound nice. Although i think i prefer the 800 over the 75 because essentially the 75 was a retro gimmicky thing, the 800 was modern for its time, a nice 800 2.7 v6 coupe, mmmmmm

as for the 306
(Car owned and maintained regardless of cost for the past 11 years)
why has it got a big dent in it then?

I like to think of the Accord Coupe as the spiritual successor of the 800 coupe 8)

But the 800 did look very classy. It too was designed for the US market. The 800 mk1 was sold there as Sterling, but the facelift and coupe were brought to market after they left the US.

The rover 800 coupe was 80% handbuilt by the craftsmen:

above all its a rover, (not leon, gti, escort, 309, passat, 306)

WHAT'S ALL THIS TALK ABOUT BAD SPELLING ON GUMTREE? I DON'T USE GUMTREE, I MUCH PREFER EBAY, WHERE PEOPLE WRITE LIKE THIS SO THAT EVERYONE CAN READ WHAT THEY'RE WRITING.

PEOPLE ON EBAY ALSO LIKE TO HIGHLIGHT DIFFERENT THINGS IN THEIR ADVERTISEMENTS BY THE CLEVER AND SUBTLE USE OF COLOUR.

AT LEAST ON EBAY THEY SEEM TO SPELL THINGS REASONABLY WELL, IT'S JUST THAT YOU CAN'T READ WHAT THEY'RE SAYING BECAUSE IT'S ALL IN UPPER CASE.

This is true. Ebay ads on a netbook screen mean you are all day scrolling.

Ebay can be overpriced too.

In Firefox:

ctrl + = zoom in
ctrl - = zoom out
ctrl 0 = zoom 100%

In the View->zoom menu you can toggle zooming text only or everything
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Sometimes zoom out on the netbook to view huge pages, but then forget and go to a normal page and it takes a second to remember why the text is tiny :)

F11 to maximise Firefox is a handy netbook tip too!
