iwill let my mate know about that,
but saying that, it wouid more than likely give him something more to worry about,

That one wouldn't affect his (it's a RAV 4.2 thing and his is a 4.3). Not sure if it's a diesel or not but it's too late for that one anyway (after Toyota redesigned the pistons not once but twice). I see he's rather sensibly pushing it off a cliff in that pic :cheesy:

Does he have a spare wheel or is he on the amazingly expensive and troublesome run flats?

Yeah its the 4.3 ithink, D4d lump.

it has a Spare wheel, not sure if its on Run flats or not, but tbh, the wheels look to small for it not sure why tho,
compared to others side by side it looks differnt in height,

the chrome on the lights are just covers,

heres apic of it when he first got it, just plain and basic model ithink,

I suspect as it doesn't say D-cat next to the D4D badge that his car doesn't have a DPF. It has a DMF though...

I thought they all came with front frog lights :? I've not seen a 4.2 or a 4.3 here without them anyway.

Btw the tension is mounting over on the RAV forum because the latest RAV, the 4.4, is due out any minute. Woo :|

It'd be interesting if they pass modern emissions hurdles without a DPF.

He probably doesn't go there much 'cos their attitudes suck. Mind you it can be good for a laugh, I quite enjoyed the recent "what's this bit that fell off my car?" thread.

Idont know what goes on there tbh,
but a few weeks back he came to me and showed me an image of a Rav heater control pannel on the iphone (the leds /smds have burnt out on his )

he says : Will this fit my car,

Huh Feck knows mate, there most probs two or 3 differnt pannels so idont know
go and ask on the Rav forum someone shouid know on there surely?

a week later he came up with the box containing the control pannel, bought off eghay or whatever,

it didnt fit, so as a guess he was blanked on the forum or otherwise he wouidnt of wasted 80quid on a secound hand part aspose,

Bound to be - it just might not be as easy as with a Bosch EDC15. I risked it with the dogmobile, 'ahead of the curve' and got there for next to nowt, (eventually).
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

I take it handing your wife a set of spanners and saying "You'll need these, good luck" will simply result in you being hit with one or more spanners?
