The footwell is damp, but there is no sunroof.
The Xsara had been dormant for a year before i bought it so the inside has had a chance to get a bit damp, the engine is the same it needs a good italian tune up once its back on the road.

On the topic of tune ups, is there any sites offering generic remap files, the old one i got the remap file for my 406 doesnt seem to be there anymore.

Last year (ie yesterday), we got a bit of the rotissarie started all the box has been drilled out, and the two bases are welded up, my cousin had a good idea to change the layout of the box on one so that the central bit of box that will join the two rotissarie sides will be able to telecope in and out, before this it would have meant one bit of box to suit each car:

Ah, splendid :cheesy: I suppose the alternative would be to make it long enough to take anything you'd be likely to stick on it,..

Initially my plans were going to have it so that the bit of box section would be cut to suit the length of the 305, but the main reason for the adjustable head is so that it can be used on other cars, now with the connecting box being able to telescope in and out its that bit easier to adapt to different cars, one central bit of box suits all.

Its all theory, i wont know how well it works until its all together, its based off existing plans but its had quite a few changes after different suggestions were made.

It should barbecue a cow easy enough, it's stong enough for a rhino :cheesy:

Got a bit more done to it this evening, the rotating heads are both made and a few other bits it's looking more like the finished thing, tomorrow should finish it off:

I painted the rotissarie with a bit of direct to rust paint (not hammerite) its not free of brush strokes but it will keep the rust away,
Rust must actually work as a primer? the parts i smoothed the rust off with the angle grinder the paint did not stick well onto, but the rusty parts the paint went on nicely.

Looks really really good, A+.... :cheesy:

Will you be fitting castors with brakes as I can imagine a Mr Bean moment waiting to happen when you try to revolve the car..

As for the handle, what about those things that clip onto steering wheels for lazy drivers..??
