Not really, as part of the Croatian government's "European harmonisation" initiative ("here are all our generals gift wrapped we don't know why everyone is so upset we promise to get them back one day maybe perhaps we're going to burn our ex-prime minister at the stake he was the corrupt one the rest of us are honest please give us some of those european parliament expense fiddling good times please please please we'll do anything") they've buggered up the Croatian economy in order to fit right in.

Yawn http://www.njuskalo.hr/auti/toyota-rav4 ... as-3989701 Tomorrow afternoon yadda.

Minus: high kms, 2 owners, no history, *possibly* childish interior modifications. Fuel gauge iffy.
Plus: 2 sets of wheels & tyres, winter set new, local, knows my mate Goran will break his legs if he sells me a duff'un.

ill agree, it suits the rav4, the dash is nice too with the cool looking blue, the instrument cluster is different looking, id expect the speedo and rev counter in the big dials with fuel and temp in a smaller one.

They are lovely looking motor inside,
my mate rekons the stereos let them down, dont know why :?

he took his out after a week and replaced it with a fancy touch screen thing and fitted a reverse camera,
idont know what make of stereo he used but it looks awesome it even displays a Toyota screen logo,
cost him £150 with the reverse camera,

double din is great for that, so many hi spec radios available for it, when my uncle ordered the hilux the option for sat nav costed £1000 when an aftermarket radio just as good can be fitted for £200.

The owner's club don't think the inside is original, it might be well done or it might be a complete mess, I won't know until I see it.

Cakeonchin? Reversing camera sounds good & I like the price, I'm already thinking about a Mickey Mouse spare wheel cover in case the wife reverses it into something, they aint cheap apparently :frown:

You couid be right mate,
idont think the inside is original, theres lots of bits floating about for these ravs,
bits of chrome and stuff, perhaps its been modded slightly,
iwouidnt worry, if you dont like bits of it you can easily change it back to how you want it.

It's not original, apparently he does that to all his cars

I've seen it and driven it - stiff clutch with no feeling, two-position throttle (making it very hard to drive smoothly), clunky gearchange, eml light on (although the owner swears black's white this is the fuel sender), noisy snow tyres (but better than all season "ok at everything but good at nothing" tyres) and a dent in the rhs running board. I was quite surprised how it drove, after the first heap I've not bothered and let my mate do all the clutch torturing but he missed the dying clutch on the Vitara. I got him to drive it anyway and said this one was just the same as the others, smoother if anything :? Perhaps I've been driving diesels for too long :(

Anyway tomorrow, as it's local, it's going up on the lift in the workshop for the mechanic to inspect, he'll also plug the code reader in to see what's going on with the light. I won't be parting with any money unless the mechanic gives it the nod.
