Visited 'The Needles' and had a little cable car ride off the edge of the cliffs called at a couple of scenic beaches and a place called Ventnor which has it's own micro-climate and stays warmer than other areas (which it was) apparently you can find lizards in the wild as the climate is so fair.
Took a ride on this thing to Portsmouth for the day, 10 mins verses 45/50 on the ferry:
And this was the view from 'my' bar:
All in all thoroughly enjoyable, even getting the car ferry's was a breeze with no waiting around.
Glad to hear you had good weather wellters old boy
It's alright on the I.O.W ain't it, I can recommend it to anyone

Wiggy - just looked again at that 'bottle' on the air intake; it might be an acoustic box to reduce induction noise. I had a large black box connected to the inlet of my Honda and it was buried in the wheel arch but on inspection seemingly served no purpose. If yours was to catch water then it should have a means of draining it off.
You're spot on, I looked in the part's diagrams and it's listed as "resonator, intake air no. 2" (the other is the weird little box on the throttle body). I learn something new, yet completely irrelevant, every day
I've not been to the IoW since I was a nipper so I don't remember very much. I've wanted to go to the IoW garlic festival since I first heard of it. I don't suppose I'll ever get a chance now
The airbox on the EW12J4 2.2 petrol engine also has a resonator fitted.
Apparently removing it makes the engine sound epic, but I haven't done that to mine.

Ah yes, I seem to remember something about that, isn't it on the back of the air filter box? This one's opposite to, and about the same size as, the windscreen wash reservoir, which takes about 4 litres. And it has two of them - large empty boxes to match the large empty heads of the target owners...
...and, while I'm updating my sig (can't bring myself to delete the first line ) I've seen my D9 floating about a few times (we've exchanged cheery waves) and it's now sporting a pair of furry dice Goran says he loves it and it's now had a full service and cam belt change, So I guess I should be pleased it's gone to someone who's looking after it, rather than using it as a workhorse-come-battering ram.
Only it's moonstone blue
Best way if you've got the storage space

I think that's what my other two are - if its a light metallic blue, of course none of the panels match from the silver one. There are loads of bits left on the other one if anyone is interested, it's a 2.0. Hdi.
Hi Peter, I have a friend who needs a Moonstone bonnet, if any of yours are good??
