Driving CD

Post by xplosiv »

Hi,

Idea for a topic  (May have been done before, but could not be arsed looking).

What would be on your ultimate driving CD (in you 406)? (no hard house, r&B Crap IMO)

14 - 18 tracks (Normal CD length)

I always find Tubular Bells satisfying......

Or, if I'm feeling a bit racey I might put on Enya, and sing along too.

My friend, he likes Gangster Rapp but I struggled to follow the main Chorus and anything over 80 BPM is a no no for me I'm afraid.

Springsteen - The River
The Wonderstuff - Here Comes Everyone
The Waterboys - The Whole of the Moon
U2 - Errrrrrrm, so many, can't choose, maybe City of Blinging Lights??

Well my perfect driving album at the moment is the new Evanescence CD, and it's not being removed for a long time yet!!!

There is only 1 CD manly enough to satisfy the urges of the lat night, motorway munching, white knuckled tarmac terrorist...

Songs for the Deaf, by Queens of the Stone Age.

Hi,

I am cheating (in my 6CD changer i have): -

1) Meat Loaf - Bat Out Of Hell III
2) Jet - Shine On
3) Evanescence - The Open Door
4) The Killers - Sam's Town
5) Katie Melua - Piece By Piece
6)

Need suggestions for the 6th CD, i am trying to keep it varied so i don't have to change them in some time, so far i am thinking:

Zoutons, who, Magic Numbers or maybe somthing else hmm

Sweet Mother of Jesus.......... have you lot no taste?

In my 6 changer (at the moment) I have 5 CD's:

Outkast (Speakerboxxx, extreme language, mostly complete crap unless you feel angry, then ok)
Outkast (The Love Below, extreme language mostly complete crap unless you feel angry, then ok)
Robbie Williams (never listen too, don't know why still in there)
Gwen Steffani (pop/fun easy, if in the mood, but crap really)
The Jam (I like track 4, ''That's Entertainment'', and only play this when I feel like it)

In summary, I'm not that bothered, I usually prefer to watch 'MTV dance' with a cold Stella whilst I observe the finer details of a Hot Dancer's Glutimous Maximus [spelling?] :P

Welly, you watch MTV Dance and you don't like anything over 80BPM? :o

Anyway, all depends in the mood. I find Genesis is good for long journeys across Europe. But currently have a mix of dance/trance in my mp3 player. But some nice Deep Purple or Queen doesn't go amiss once in a while.

Oh, and since I am originally from Russia, a bit of Russian stuff too.

Hate R&B/Hip hop crap...

Offspring - Smash is a great driving cd. Mostly I just have a couple of cds full of assorted power metal mp3s (and more recently, audiobooks). One thing I won't listen to though is Pantera, after discovering listening to it really does make my driving aggressive!
