An MOT pass, Huzzah!

Post by turbolag »

Well, the old girl passed the dreaded Manky Old Tat test with flying colours. 7 years old and she has never had so much as an 'advice' at an MOT - can't grumble at that, eh? The tester was most complimentary, saying it was a nice clean car, which I believe was praise indeed from the wizened old spanner and roll up monkey. Once I got home I then reconnected the tuning box, and disconnected the 3rd solenoid on the fuel pump and the EGR for another year...

BTW - Pugfest is provisionally set for 7th/8th july 2007, at the Prescott Hill Climb near Cheltenham. I'm hoping to go for the whole weekend and camp out. Think i'll run the old bus up the track on the Sunday too.

Hope to see a good few of you there.

I beg your pardon?

Good to see you got a pass chappy, You could have easily rubbed our '110' noses in the fact that you have rear drums which give excellent rear brake balance and handbrake performance for the test (unlike our manky disc/drum combo).

I always make sure my car is SUPER clean for the MOT man, it seems to help a very big lot.

Hmmm let's see..... My major service + MOT + cambelt/water pump + 3 new Goodyears + some other bits and bobs cost me £618  But for MOT pass I only really needed to replace one tyre :D

After this service however, my car feels tight as a nut. Very happy :D Here's to another year of motoring... just need to wash it...

I gotta say, that my 73,000 mile HDi still feels tight and new, no sqeaks, rattles or knocks. Lovely!
