Radio codes

Post by mattie007 »

I cant find my radio code after taking the battery off for a recharge.
Is it possible to get hold of it without paying Peugeot a fortune?

Im sure i read on here that the radios are not actually coded but instead are configured only to "talk" to the ecu in your car.

After a jump start or recharge it should work like normal.

I don't think it's going to be that easy I'm afraid. Maybe it'd help to know which one it is.

That's D9s. The stereo in D8s needs a 4 digit code, and if you lose the code you're best off getting a replacement

Can you post the radio's serial no?
I "found" a D8 radio decoder whilst trawling the net; don't know whether it works but it's worth a shot!

I'll take it out over the weekend and find out. Looks like I'll just get a new head unit though.

Check the handbook and the service book - chances are it may well be written down there

It's also not uncommon to find the code written in permanent marker on the stereo itself

Do post the s/n here anyway, it'd be interesting to see if that tool works!

Theres a third number aswell: 9022 215 94651

Does that help?

The s/n should be 10 numbers apparently; I'll pop my radio out tomorrow as I know the code already & see which numbers generate the correct pin.

It must be one of the ones you posted with a couple of numbers knocked off. I'll report back what I find out!
