but farmerpug said the volume is low, and the connection is not connected on economy mode on his 607? how about yours? is the volume ok? and is the power on economy mode? and how about connecting audio jack output wire only?

can i presume that CLARION was the standard fit unit for mine ? 2001 Y reg rapier 90 hdi ?

Yes.
Although there are a couple of different versions, some with built in amps, some not, some are CD, some are cassette etc...
