Re: LOUD BEEPING
The head unit does that if you try to fit one that was from another car without coding it via PP2000. I have no idea how it's doing it just by fiddling with it though.....

Re: LOUD BEEPING
Your gonna need someone with pp2000 to reset the immobiliser, you will need the 4 digit pin code aswell,if youre lucky it'll be on a credit card sized card in the inner cover of the handbook wallet or the main delaer can give you it for a price,i learnt all this by experience making the same mistake you did.

Re: LOUD BEEPING
I found an auto electrician who came to my house and reset it,it cost £40 but as I couldn't get the car anywhere to get it done I had no choice.

Do you have any info on how to code it using pp2000 because I now have this & it's up 'n' runing.
So far been sucsessfull with sortting imobillizer ect so the car is all back to how it was before I dissconected the battery
But the bloody beeping is still there, have done a global test & a fault comes up with the radio, It say that the wrong ecu / car details have been imputted & that the radio is for a 307 ? .
So I am gessing that the radio must have been replaced at some point in it's life, Do you now what I need to do to get this to work in my car again! bearing in mind that all was fine & I do not know why this prob started to happen ?
Many thanks in advance for any light you may be able to shed on this Paul

Re: LOUD BEEPING
I've only done it the once Paul to my own car when I replaced the head unit....and that was a while ago.
I'll have to plug in PP2000 to the car to refresh my memory before I dole out duff information! Won't be today though mate so bear with!

Re: LOUD BEEPING
Thanks Mark,
Any help will be gratfully received, just somthing to think over .
I think I have managed to re-configure the stereo because I got it to play without beeping but when we used the car the next time after being left in the car park for a couple of hours when we turned the stereo back on it started beeping again , So I take it from that that some electrical tomfoolery is afoot causing it to loose power / memory?
Sound possible?
Cheers for you help & info Bud Paul.

Re: LOUD BEEPING
That sounds more like a fault than a configuring problem Paul and may explain why it went belly up in the first place. The car's VIN is stored in flash memory so shouldn't be lost when/if power is lost.
I'll still look at PP but sounds less promising now...
