Radio problems

Hello, ive got a prblm with my dtandard radio ive test arieal lead and it has continuity and radio works on am stations and cd works fine but keep tryingto tune on fm but wont lock on to any stations and just keeps going through all fm bands. Can anyone help please or had this problem many thanks

Is the ariel connected? Take the radio out and check the connections on the back.

Hi aerial connected, at back of radio it has a black and a white connecter do u mean check all wires see if any come lose ?

Ive taken base apart today as noticed a drop of water on rear view mirror so had complete base of and dryed out and still picks up am but no fm and at bottom interior base it has a chip type thing in i dont know if this has anything to do with it ?
