Sorry idont know the sizes of the rear speakers,
hopefully someone else will know,

if you get some that are abit too small you can make some spacers up fairly easy to do,

The rear speakers are normaly ok'ish in the pugs, all mine seem to have /had crap front speakers Makes abig differnce swapping them out first,

iwas thinking of putting 6x9s in the tailgate but not sure if they will be too heavy , that wouid be the way to go ithink in the estates
for decent sound quality , and perhaps a small amp stashed out the way somewhere,

as for sound deadening some chaps on another forum, are using carpet underlay (cloud 9 stuff) seems to work well 8)

Bluffing? :?

You can put the same size as the fronts in the tailgate (6 1/2"? ) as there are cut-outs for them in the metalwork, you just need to cut matching holes in the card. However I put some in my D8 and then found the struts aren't up to the extra weight (said finding was done with my head, quite a few times - ouch.)

no good adding diffent speakers in the tailgate then :(

the ones in the 306 are a pie shaped thing and are feather weight,

not sure on the 406s ones but on the 306 it wouid be a jigsaw job, :(

I must admit I have the original speakers for my iMac G4 which have Harmon Kardon speakers, they are damn good so I am definitely looking into these JBL's when I get around to upgrading the speaker system :)
