Standard Head Unit & CD-R's

Post by VespaSkin »

Anyone know if the standard cd head unit will play cd-r's and what do I need to convert them to (tried .wav parked to cd compliant but no joy) cheers

PS If I can get a cd changer does it need to be coded for the car/head unit?

Ta again

Mine plays cd's I've written myself, without any hassle.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

I think V reg makes it a D9 (can't be asked to look it up again) so it'll need someone to tell the BSI it's got a changer. Mine plays CD-Rs. I tell Nero to burn the music as a music CD it's fine, if you stick them on there just using the browser as .wavs or worse mp3s it won't see them.
