PEUGEOT 407 RADIO

Post by Gary406 »

can a 407 cd player be removed to put an aftermarket radio in.

my mate has just bought a mint 407. 04 plate with 38k miles on the clock.
its mint. its still smells like brand new inside . looks like nobody has even been sat in it ..

but the radio looks complicated . he wants me to fit his audio system in it,

can any1 give me any pointers on this ?

Ithink you will need a convertor iso lead mate,
im not 100% on that tho,
back end of them look similar to the 406 d9 radio as what ican see,

why is he ripping out the standard head unit there sposed to be ok ,
is it a sat nav model?

if it is there £2030 from the stealers so ive heard

strangely ive been looking at radios today and Halfords told me not to remove my standard head unit more trouble than what its worth so they say,

theyre selling off all the ex display head units for peanuts so imight just ignore what they say :?

well now the 407 radio does a lot more than the old 406 radio, it just has a lot of buttons. But for about £400 you could get all the bits for the sat nav stuff on ebay, and even more buttons. I think the high end 407 radio had a sim card slot which made it a huge 4 wheeled mobile phone.
It just looks a bit tidier, ive said it for the 406, but especially on a car like the 407 where the radio is more of a part of the dash.
