aftermarket HU power niggles

Post by Roylewaa »

Firstly apologies if this has been covered before, Ive had a quick look but could'nt find anything

My Kenwood mp3 HU works fine, however it will not come on when the ignition is turned on, nor will it switch off when the engine it turned off and the key removed from the ignition, you have to manually do it
Not a real hinderance, just a bit of a pain

I don't think the yellow and red wires need swapping around and the memory is fine

cheers for any info :)

Best thing to do is : use a multimeter and work out which is permant live and which is the one thats looped to the ign,
it may have been wired up wrong ,

or check if the :Yellow and red wire been bridged together ,
