Hi there, this Phillips appears to be a D8 (mark 1) stereo, the Clarion is obviously D9 (mark 2) so you will not be able to use it as your car does not have a BSI :(

get yourself an aftermarket mp3 player.

better radio reception (fact)
better sound quality using the same speakers (fact)

with prices as little as £50 you would be mad not to get yourself a good aftermarket mp3 player ..

sony. kenwood. pioneer. alpine. all good sound quality 8)

Thank you very much for your reply.
I just want not to change the look of the console.
Maybe i will connect a cd changer. What cd changer is compatible with Philips?
What is BSI? I dont want to loose the steering controler, it is very usefull.
Thank you again. Sorry for my english, i am from Greece

you can add an aftermarket stereo. and keep your steering wheel controlls.
oh and it will look nice in the dash with a facia adaptor :arrowd:

this alows you to fit an aftermarket radio and leave it nice and neat with no gaps .
i have one of these fitted and it retains the original look ok

and if you add a MP3 headunit you can put about 6-8 albums on 1 music cd ...

Thanks for your advice. probably i will fit an aftermarket radio.
How i will keep the steering wheel control? Is there an adaptor that any radio has?
Any brand has this adaptor for my 406?

you need to make sure you get a radio that can controll the wheel buttons.

then an aditional adaptor is needed to plug the radio into the wheel controll (behind the radio)

its very easy its just all plug and play . simples :cheesy:
