hey - Clarion Not playing Cds
my Standard CD player in my 406, will player cd's if engine not running, but wont play if running, the radio works either way, any suggestions?

You could try cleaning the lens, it's a bit of nervous dismantling but it's knackered anyway if it doesn't play CDs.

the vibration of the engine could be making it jump is there wee dampers in the radio perhaps have fell out, anyhow a new radio isnt the end of the world

The lens is dirty mate, ultra common on 406 Clarion CD players. Remove the stereo and take the top off......You will see the lens, gently clean it with a cotton bud.....problem solved!

get an airline in round it will get the bulk of the dust away and one of them alcohol wipes usually gets the dirt, they have worked on household cd/dvd players.
