Learned this the hard way. Had a new bluetooth audio head unit fitted today, column controls all work spiffingly but I've lost the use of the cd changer (no big loss) and i no longer get sat nav audio which is a bit of a bind.
The car audio place left the cd caddy on the floor of the boot but they didn't tell me why. Without a thought I just popped it back in. Trouble is it no longer powers up and of course the eject button no longer works! 5 of my dearest most cherished discs and one borrowed from a work mate. Dang!!!!!!
An hour of fruitless googling inspired me to get me tools out. You'll have a job removing the changer unless you remove its metal holding bracket first - you'll need a Torx T30 bit for that.
For the rest, follow my flickr link - tried to upload the pics directly to my post but I just get the dreaded white box with the red X in it - any hints on uploading pics directly very welcome!

Good guide, i recall taking apart the cd changer just to clean it, never noticed this thing its the same as the hole on laptops to let the cd out
