Re: how to remove door molex *PICS*
its very easy when you get your head round it,
i would recommend using 16 gauge speaker cable for this, dont use anything thiner
maybe this diagram can go in the "HOW TO" section ,, saves all the agro of feeding cable into the front doors

Re: how to remove door molex *PICS*
you use 5 meter RCA signal leads for the signal
good RCA leads are a must, dont use cheap ones ,
im making 2 of my own RCA leads costing £25 each,

Re: how to remove door molex *PICS*
yes in theiory you will have 2 iso plugs connected but only using 1 side from each ... look at the diagram,
you plug the new 2nd iso onto the cars speaker side and dont use the speaker side on the radios iso,
then only use the power side on the radios iso plug

Re: how to remove door molex *PICS*
yh but the plugs are all one piece arent they? power and speakers are on 1 block?
Re: how to remove door molex *PICS*
so that plug from halfords that i linked, do you just snap the power but off the plug, and then just connect the speaker bit into original iso?

Re: how to remove door molex *PICS*
yes but its one unit so you cant snap it off, i just put insolation tape round mine,
but yes thats what you do, connect 5 meter lenths of calbe to the new iso and then run that to boot of car to amp, because the cars iso speaker plug feeds all speakers
it saves messing about running wires throu doors, because the original speaker iso on the car allready runs into the doors,
BUT DO NOT PAY 16.99 FOR THAT FROM HALFORDS, THEY ARE £1.99 ON EBAY MATE IF YOU GET STUCK PM ME AND I WILL SEND MY MOBILE NUMBER YOU CAN RING ME AND I WILL TRY EXPLAIN IT A BIT BETTER, ITS VERY EASY THO

Re: how to remove door molex *PICS*
ALSO THAT PLUG ON HALFORDS IS MALE,
YOU NEED A FEMALE BECAUSE THE CARS STANDARD ISO IS MALE.

i cant work it out in my head lol, if its one block, and u only want half the block connected to old iso, i cant see how you get the new iso which is a solid block, into half the old iso ( the power bit)

Re: how to remove door molex *PICS*
because the cars standard iso plus are not conected together, so you plug the standard power iso into the radios iso , the the standard speaker iso to the 2nd iso, the 2nd iso has the 5 meter lenths of cable connected to it running to the boot,
this is the iso you need

Re: how to remove door molex *PICS*
be better to power the rears as well, even if you have a 2 channel amp you can still run all 4 speakers off a 2 channel amp
