Can't remember exactly, but I removed all the interior side trims and ran the wire up there, then lifter the corner of the seat and ran it through to the boot from there. IIRC it was a little fiddly but easily done in the end. I'll probably redo it with heavier gauge wire when I up the system in the boot.

At the front of the seat either side should be 2 rubber bungs, pull them off, and there is - think it;s 2 nuts, but being a pug probably 2 torx :D - undo and the seat base will pull out. Only takes couple of mins.

I found the Haynes manual to be bang on for the job...
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

I have found out (after a lot of tugging, pulling. lifting and swearing) that there are 2 'mushrooms', 1 on the body floor under each seat, that locate into a ring on the bottom of the seat. You just need to get the right combination of tug, pull, hit and twist to get it off!

Just try lifting the front of the seat up away from the bolts and then give it a whack towards the back of the car, that should dislodge the seat from the mushroom.
