6x9`s in an estate

Post by hammerman »

Does anyone know if 6x9 speakers will fit in the estate parcel shelf with the retractable cover???Looking at it it looks like they would fit.Has anyone fitted these size speakers to the shelf??My rear speakers are crap,& i`m not the only one who thinks the estate speakers are. :)

Speakers in the estate's parcel shelf will sound crap too. Don't forget in a saloon you've got the rear windscreen at about 45 degrees reflecting the sound forwards, which you won't have in the estate.

6x9s sound crap at the best of times. The boot space of the estate is no good for a sound box as the retractable piece will just flap about with the movement of the air.

Just get some better speakers for the front door, it no good having the sound stage in the back of the car if you're sat in the front, you want to be in the music, not listening to it from the other end of the car.
2.1td exec estate.
