Electric mirror broken wire

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Electric mirror broken wire

Post by Waldo155 »

I seem to have lost the passenger side (RHD) up movement on my 2003 110 executive door mirror and suspect the drivers side door loom. The upwards movement will sometime operate when the front, drivers side door is open but stops when the door is shut leading me to think there is a broken wire in the rubber conduit between the door and the pillar.

I have tried to find a diagram for the drivers side door switch/loom but am bamboozled by the amount of variations there seems to be. It would be handy to know what colour wire in the drivers side door loom operates the upwards movement for the passenger side mirror, so I can go straight to it and run a bypass wire through the rubber conduit.

Would any members have knowledge of this and be able to point me in the right direction please? Thanks. 👍

Here is the electric diagram I found in the SEDRE disk:

The passenger side door mirror is part 6415.

The connector between the door and the rest of the vehicle is IC71A and IC71B.

This is the "installation" diagram that comes with it:
