Wiring Advice

HI not sure if anyone can advise the wiring to my Lucas electronic injector pump has become very brittle and broke up, making cable id difficult
I have managed to trace all wires to the pump connection bar one which is a black wire leading to the pcb there appears to be no black wire in the rest of the loom to jack plug end, and does not appear to be tied in to any other wires the only other black wires i can find in the area are on the solenoids . Any wiring diagram of the area would be very helpful showing pump wiring loom between ecu and pump would be very helpful thanku.

Do you have a Build Code/DAM number? With that i can look up the diagram in SEDRE.

If you cannot find your DAM number you can also post me your VIN number, i can look it up in Service Box for you.

It's a D8 so there won't be anything on sedre. This is the only diagram I've ever seen

Pug don't do colour codes, the numbers are printed on the wires. Which is obviously bugger all help if the wires are disintegrating.

Are you sure? In my copy of sedre i can even select a 405.

There are 2 menu items called '406' in my sedre, the first shows only one choice: '406' (with a picture that looks like an old style D8), the second shows the choices '406 (RESTYLING)' and '406 (D9 2001)'.

Choosing the first, i can select motor type 'TURBO DIESEL XUD11BTE' which is a Diesel 2.1 TD 12V Engine - or isn't it?

Sadly, sedre does not cross check the entered DAM number with the chosen model, so you can get an illegal combination without warning (as i've experienced...)

Oh! Mine doesn't (version 4.0.2), just 406 -> 406 (D9 2000) and 406 (D9 2001) -I guess I just assumed none of them did. More fool me I guess.

Yes, XUD11BTE, P8C I'd guess a build code of around 7500. I don't think I've ever got an illegal combination either, just a refusal if the build code is out of range.
