Multi function display

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

There is a procedure to be followed when you chance the battery unless you maintain a power source to the car. I suggest you search this forum for the procedure on how to shut down the BSI and restart it again. It may be your problem and worth a try.

Possibly a fuse, I haven't got a fuse diagram to hand though....

No, I'm suggesting there may be a fuse for the trip computer or radio display..?
There is no fuse inside the MFD, but it's simple to unplug and plug back in to see if it works - just carefully prise off the two side covers ( they scratch really easy) and undo the 4 torx screws - you will lose the radio stations that are pre set but keep the trip computer.
Try fuse F in the fuse box by drivers knee, or fuse 8 - both are connected to the display and the sat nav.
