Screen washers

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Screen washers

Post by piglet »

I have reduced pressure on the fronts and when I squirt the rear it comes out the front as well.
Is this likely to be electrical or plumbing?
Had a quick look but it's all buried under the tank and everything is wet anyway.

Cheers

The pump just has a rubber rotor that shoves water out of one outlet when it spins one way and out the other when it's reversed. Obv if something's blocked it'll take the easiest root. I had a tiny pebble in my pump that was blocking the feed for the front jets, so it only sprayed the rear whatever I did. I suspect yours will be something similar, a load of crap in the pump perhaps.

OK Ta,
I'll try pulling the pipes off the front jets and purging 1st.
Or even blowing back with an airline.
