Hi all, I have recently transplanted a xu10j2te from a citroen xantia into my Peugeot 306. All was fine apart from on starting, the engine revs jumped to 3k and stayed there. Unplugging the throttle position sensor dropped the revs down to 1500 rpm, I tried two other position sensors and the same occurred. Taking the position sensor off the throttle housing and setting the sensor at it's stop it will idle beautifully. It is almost as though the throttle butterfly rod is in the wrong position.
Can anybody offer me some diagnostic advice?. I am hoping it's not the Ecu.
