Radio Suppressor

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Radio Suppressor

Post by neildavies »

Does anyone know if there's a radio interference suppressor on the 406's at all. I've got a D9 coupe with a Clarion head unit and the interference is terrible. Particularly worse with the heated rear window on. I was just wondering if I can change or add a suppressor,

Cheers

you've got a diesel so know, the only ones are for petrols that go on the ignition coils, have you removed the aerial and cleaned the earth for it?

Cheers James, I'm going to have a go at teh aerial at the weekend, maybe try my old amplified base and antenna. I may be calling on Dai to give me a hand. I've got one too many rattles/creaks and squeaks at the moment, taking the enjoyment out of the car.
