My guess is that, that 2 colored things gets out of there and 2 relays attach in there .. but what's their function ? Maybe for the heated seats ? or for the cruise ?

The cruise button or stalk needs any kind of relay ?

So much questions... thank you so much for everything by now...
I believe that you a right about swapping the blue/yellow pieces for relays, but I don't know what they are used for. All my 406's have cruise, so I've never tried fitting it.

There may be some relays that fit those sockets under the bonnet of your car, see my pics here. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14960
At least you'd know what to look for at a breakers yard/dealer.

Hi, you could check if you have any relays attached in that place..

I'hav checked your pics and i have the same fusebox with that relays ( 1 plugged in like your pic) at the top of the box in a clip holder, the onyl diference is that my ABS fuse is an megafuse 50am and is located where the " supposed " spare megafuses go...

Well... in a while i'll try to test the thing out again, i have adjusted a little the switch on the break pedal.. let's see where it gets ...

If it won't work.. i think the problem is the ECU is not configured, well i heard that the ECU needs to have it as " present " on cruise control option ( maybe mine is set as " absent " ).. but i have a big problem ...i couldn't get PP2000 to get into the engine ECU somehow ...i read somewhere even if we have a manual gearbox we need to choose automatic one .. well, i didn't tryed this, i was always trying to select the correct ones ...

EDIT: Have you ever plugged in PP2000 into yours GTX ? If you did, have you go to the codification section, and see what options you got there ? I read someone else saying that in the old 406's the BSI did nothing and what controlled the cruise would be the ECU ..

EDIT 2: A friend of mine has an estate like mine which is only younger then mine 3 months , but his is level 2 ( with ashwood trim on door panels, door sills saying peugeot, and Trip computer from serie ) and his estate doesnt have the extra wiring like mine has, not even the eletric and heated seats..

Neither of mine have the relays under the bsi, but there are two beside the fusebox. However they appear to have different colour wires so they are probably not related.

I will try to get pp2k on the gtx before it's dismantled to far.

Have you got the clutch switch?

Its the brown plug with two wires, at the bottom. The brake switches are just visible behind the steering column.

Don't know if this helps, but you need 2 brake switches, the one for the cruise control must operate before the one for the brake lights.

hi dogslife, thank you for your help,i have confirmed that, i do have the switch on the clutch the 2 switchs on the brake pedal one for the cruise ( red one ) and one for the break lights ( white ) , how do you mean the red one needs to operate before the other one ? doesn't they need to be touching the brake pedal at the same time ?

Hi, I have now fitted the stalk into the steering wheel, here it goes:

Now its a matter of time to programme the ECU to enable the cruise ..let's hope that with the update i'll do to the PP2000 of my mechanic will give me access to the engine ECU, i have installed on my laptop the DiagBox the new programme from PSA group which will replace the actual PP2000 ( Doesn't mean this do not have the PP2000 functions, because it does have ) , I'll try with this one too.

I'm Crossfinger myself

Hi, i have tried to access my ecu from my laptop but couldn't get in again ... i guess trying with that clone is a dead end ...

I saw om the haynes manual talking about an ECU behind the glovebox, but as far as i could see there was no cables hanging around or anything looking like that square box like they show on the manual...

The only thing i found attached into an empty socket at the drivers side , was this plug :

I have asked on some garages here and one was the receptionist and said that it may be not possible but to go there monday to ask the specialist on this matter ( this garage works with bosch services ), and in the other garage the electrician said it can be a problem with the steering wheel or the ABS or it needs activation on the ECU ... he said to go there wednesday

So .. Monday i'll checkout the first one and hear what the man has to say ..

Thank you all for wverything

That doesn't appear to have anything to do with the BSI :?

CA00: Ignition Switch
BH12: 12 fuse box (passenger compartment).
BH28: 28 fuse box (passenger compartment).
BM34: Engine Fuse Box
1304: engine management multi-function double relay.
BB00: Battery (what else?)
7045: clutch pedal information switch
21--: looks like brake lights
7305: cruise control switch (set etc.)
7300: cruise control switch (looks like on/off)
2100: stop lamp switch
1320: engine management ecu
7308: cruise control safety switch (brakes)

No sign of a vacuum pump anyway, what utter ballcocks Service Box is

That's what I thought when I looked at it and printed it off.

The reason I'm looking at it, is because I want to fit it to a 206 and was seeing if the 406 shares similar things.

Found this topic, and just thought I'd put the wiring diagram up to see if it helps any of you :)

No worries mate :)

I used your VIN number from the other thread as well, so that is the diagram for your exact build code ;)

Hopefully will be trying to fit this to a 206, and will be the first in the UK :D
