air bag and air con

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Yeah, ?60.00 is spot on for air con, be prepared though for the air con pressure test to show a leak in the condenser (don't mean to sound negative, but just be prepared, once they have tested the system they won't gas it up if it shows a leak, you will then be left with no air con until you sort the leak out) hopefully though you will be ok.

Is it just a coincidence maybe that the magnetic phone holder thingy has allowed interference to mess up the display?

Stereo is nice and easy to remove, just pop a piece of coat hanger or couple of drill bits in the two holes as you suggested to release the clips.

Must admit, in all the time I was looking at 406's I never came across one with a missing digit, let alone with one missing loads!!!

Under the drivers 'knee roll' are the rest of the fuses, it will come out when you undo the screws at the top.

No. 23 is for the lighter (according to my book) and is a 20A fuse.

well my baby is all working now :) just got the air con control unit (middle bit of the centre console) for ?10 :)
everything illuminates now. lighter works got my aerial on radio now works.

just need to replace 2 drivers side tyres and discover what is causing a hollow thud when i go over a bump, general even roads car is smooth as a baby's butt

am pretty sure the air con is working but only cool air, if i press auto i hear it begin to work.....heres a question, how do you get hot air out of the ventilation my other cars have had red and blue sliders etc. is it a case of turning the temp up ?

many thanks guys for your help

Sounds like your nearly there chilli :cheesy:

Turn up the Temp setting and you (should) get heat, goes upto 30 deg I think.

Nice and toasty in the winter!
