Light - Odometer

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Light - Odometer

Post by STALLED »

Hey,

I've noticed that my odometer is no longer backlit. When i give the top of the dash a bit of a tap, it will light up again. Also the fuel needle doesnt light up anymore.

Anyone got some fixes for this?

Thanks heaps!

Joel!

Blown bulbs (yes a bang can sometimes resurrect them for a while!) or the bulb holder making bad contact with the PCB and needing a bit of a clean
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

3 torx screws just above the instrument cluster, drop the steering wheel as low as it'll go and the plastic surround will pop out - be careful around the vents though. Then 5 more torx screws will let the instrument cluster come out. Piece of cake :)
