I seem to have a problem diagnosing my peugeot 406 sedan (facelift, RFR petrol engine, year 2000, siemens BSI).
Originally i wanted to retrofit the cruise control system, change out the clarion/harman audio setup for the JBL one (cd on my radio is fried anyway) and to help with diagnosing problems like my now "jumping" speedo needle (which i still dont know why it does that?).
So to the point... got myself a lexia 3 clone, "rev 3 FULL CHIP 921815C", installed and dealt with win XP on my old laptop (Lenovo thinkpad T60), downloaded the driver for said clone (USB Com Board (Multi-instance)). Also i installed PP2k from the peugeot forums (rn running the updated ver. V24.19). After installation i tried to check my cable ver with the PSA interface checker and it didnt come up with anything for my cable???? Anyway when i got into PP2k it let me scan my car and see some data, however the most important thing i wanted to see didn't work - the engine ECU.
The error it showed was "ECU has not replied".
I'd love to get some advice - anything is welcome!
Have a wonderful day/night!
