Hi, sorry if this questioned been asked a thousand times but I still need help.
My car is an old 02 406glx estate.
The key was tested a few years ago at peugeot and they said it was sending a signal, and that the faut maybe with the receiver.
Ive googled it and still cant find a definitive answer to where this receiver is located and also if replaced will my key sync with it?
Being 12 yr I dont want to spend hundreds but I would like it to work.
Lastly people talk about plips, primary and secondary. My fob has no lables for which is which, just a large unlock button and a smaller lock button.
Some say turn engine onto accessories amd within 10 secs push and hold the large button for 30 secs, others have a sequences. Which is the correct method.
Thanks in advance for any and all replies
Rob

Re: 2002 406 estate remote locking help.
Hi Rob and welcome aboard.
Sounds like you've tried all the resynching possibilities. I had similar issues after removing the battery from my previous 406, withou following the correct procedure. Had to get the car to 're-learn' the keys using PP2000, note that you also need the 4-digit PIN code that comes with the car when new, before this can be done.
If you add your location, someone local may be able to help.
The 'receiver' is part of the BSI, AFAIK
