Gone to the volvo side :)

Post by JD406 »

Well after getting rid of the 406 last year I went and bought a Volvo S60 T5. Its an ex police car and I absolutely love it, to be honest I don't know why I didn't get one earlier

That's my boy, I've got a 2005 S40 T5, had it 5 years now, only real niggle has been the Ford suspension, yours I think was made as a 'normal' Volvo without Fords' meddling.

I mustard mitt I'm not too keen on the black bootage but I like the rest of it no problem, nice big discs/calipers too (been after a set for mine for ages).

Now you can join Volvo Forums.org and enjoy falling out with everybody :cheesy:

There's a guy on there who de-commissions Police Volvos for West Yorks Police and he said the remap is removed prior to disposal (despite the rumors) and none of the cars have uprated steering or suspension.

Thanks :D

It doesn't show well on the pictures but the boot and roof have been wrapped in carbon.

Still a few thing to do to it like exhaust and remap but that will have to wait till funds are available

I got mine from just outside Leeds, I also found pics of it in its uniform :)

Oh I see, that's your own plate so it's a 2006'er.........right when Ford were at the helm. To be fair the S60/V70 platform and sussy are different and 'beefy' my car is the same underneath as a Ford Focus and a Mazda 3 so more like Cheese than Beef.

When you're ready have a word with Shark Performance about the eggsauce and the remap.

Have you dared venture onto the Volvo Forum yet? the format is simple:

A) Make a post > Get ignored.
B) Make a post > Get shouted at.
C) Tell someone what a problem is and that they can fix it at home for a few quid > They then take car to a Main Dealer to fix.

Someone on the Volvo Forum placed strobing blue lights behind the front grille, and posted a picture, but insisted he only uses them at 'shows' etc... what a bellend  watched too many Road Wars I think

It's your civic duty to forward the post to your local constabulary, (perhaps with an explanatory note in very simple english).
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
