The underside of the yoyo is a damn site worse than that, the only time I undid a bolt under there (looking for the fuel filter - it doesn't have one) the bolt sheared off. It wasn't replaced.

The are, but my car was made under Ford's penny-pinching and they thought it would be nice to throw a load of Focus sussy parts at it and guess what ALL my problems with this car relate too?

I've had new top mount bearings, both front wishbones, and inner track rod, 2 x sets of rear 'stays', a broken spring and now the rear control arm.

To be fair to the rest of the car I've had no electrical faults, no warning lights or anything in 4.5 years so I can kinda live with replacing these parts, I've always said that once you start getting electrical/electronic faults then THAT's when you're in trouble with cars.

£500.00 and I got hit for £60.00/hr (remind me to check beforehand next time).

I thought 60 squid an hour was about right over there these days, for a main dealer/franchise anyway. I'd be livid, over here it's about 20 quid but the price of parts is sky high to compensate.

The FoMoCo lower arm is obscenely expensive, I'd have been rummaging around in the parts bin for a bush that fits. Then sell the car...
