hi,

just thought it throw this niggily problem in before i actually take a look at it incase its common but there seems to be a slight bit of rocking forwards/backwards play in my 'leccy drivers seat - although it doesnt feel like its actually a loose mount, morving on the seat adjustor or something like that but yet still feels more than just sinking into it

anyone else come across this, at the moment it feels like one of those problems that i could spend the entire day ars*ing around with the seat and still not get anywhere so im reluctant to start.

Not something I've come across. Wind the seat all the way back and up and have a peer under it with a torch, the subframe/runners should be bolted to the floor and the seat itself bolted to that.

only useful suggestion is to get on yer hands and knees, shove yer head under and have a look :cheesy:

My drivers seat was loose a few months after i put my previous seats in as the torx screws came a little loose, most likely to be the front screws, think you will need a T30 from memory (could be way out here) and give them a tighten

A little play in the system (a few mm) is to be expected - cogs and stuff need a little play in them else they sieze...

Was only the front screws, mainly the one near the center console with the angled part of the frame, made sure i did these nice and tight when i put the new seats in, still like to check them occasionally just incase tho....

Hi there i have a similar problem with my drivers seat. it happened when i hit a pot hole in the road ( how unusual for our roads !!). what i have found is that the electrical system operates a coggged mechanisum. when the seat was in the lowest posistion it rocked mainly towards the rear. then when i put the seat to the highest point it stopped rocking. i have put it down to the hight mechanisum being broken. i spoke to my local Peugeot garages who gave me prices ranging from £1000 to £500 .......dont suppose any one has a spare drivers seat ?????????

Before shelling that sort of dosh to your local main stealer, have a really good look yourself.
Make sure there's nothing that's loose or come adrift.
Wind it almost all the way up and put it all the way back on it's tracks.
Get on your knees n stick your head in. Give it a good wiggle and see what moves.
(Your seat that is, not your head, although you can wiggle that too, if you like.)
Have a look under your passenger seat as well, to compare.

seems mine was just down to my lazyness of not checking

the front bolt nearest the center console was unscrewed by about an inch, gave it a good tighten and now there is a very very slight rock but i think thats just down to the slide rail system.
