Estate rear seat

Hi can anyone help me? I recently put the rear 2/3 seat down and now the centre seat belt has locked and I can't return the seat to the upright position.Is there a way to do this ? Please

Not what you want to hear, but I ended up cutting mine
If you can get the bottom of the seat (where you put your arse) up, you may be able to undo the bolt holding the seatbelt end to the car. Let the belt in a bit and it should be free again. If it is, get a clip or something you can use to make sure there's about a foot of seatbelt slack when you next lower the seat, so if it jams again you can free it, or at least get the seat back upright

Hi ..many thanks both of you..top tip.. a bit of a struggle getting the base anchor undone..but it did the trick.. thank you

Glad it worked - when I tried it I broke off whatever the bolt screws into on the other side, so it just spun in the hole without coming undone

I loop the belt around the head restraint when lowering the back.
